It's a new week, and I have a new assignment from my New Testament Class that I would like to share. (That was a whole lot of 'news'!;) This week we read Matthew, specifically about how Jesus provided for the multitudes that were in need of food. Jesus felt compassion for them, yet instead of making food appear from out of thin air, he requested what food the multitudes possessed. He then multiplied the little offering to be sufficient and more for all those who were hungry.
This idea of coming to the Savior with what little we have in hopes that he can provide the rest is applicable to our daily lives and our daily short comings. If we strive to do our best, and still come up short, the Lord will provide the rest through his infinite glory and grace. Here is a summary of the assignment I did:

2. Romans 3:23 explains that we all fall short of the glory
of God because we have sinned. There is no possible way that we could ever
attain the Glory of God on our own without the atonement. In Ether 12:27 it
explains that the grace of God is what makes us whole. If we come before him in
our weakness and ask for his help, he will make up what we lack.
